I actually like her licks — they’re not drooly and her tongue is sooooo soft. I just discourage her from licking my face (yuck).
A vet told me years ago that a dog doesn’t just lick her master to convey affection, but also does so to taste the salt in the perspiration on her master’s body.
Yes, that’s exactly what she’s doing — I’m pretty salty these days since it’s so hot out!
I have an adopted beagle and a Jack Russell terrier right now, and neither one of them are lickers. When I had my two beagles “Chiqui&Tita” (who were named after the Abba song) they were both lickers and definitely better than any cat I ever had. LOL
