While we are paying $110 Canadian per month!
I guess electricity is cheap in Mexico. Does it say how much per kw/h?
Here’s the detail:
Basic rate: 150 kWh at $0.793 (0.05CAD) = $118.95
Intermediate rate: 148 kWh at $0.956 (0.07CAD) =$141.48
Total for power: $260.43 (17.39CAD)
Then add in 16% sales tax (!) of $41.47 and something called DAP, which I understand to be a municipal tax, of $13.02.
I would be paying 0.14CAD per kWh in SK, plus a basic monthly charge of almost 35CAD.
I’m still doubled over laughing at how many times Chris berated me both on and off the blog about what he expected my power usage and bills were going to be.
Wow! That’s a good deal! But, those good deals are part of the reason you moved to Mexico, right?
The lower cost of living was a motivator, but not a top-top reason. And not everything here is less expensive. Some things, like driving, are MUCH more expensive.
