One bucket chair is now sitting outside. I’d call that progress.
I have two and a half bolts left to get through and I need to change the disc on the grinder. With no instructions for how to do so and no information on the tool as to what type it is so I can look up a manual online, I’m hoping it’s not as nice a day in Mexico today as it is in Campbell River and that Croft is online! π
Grinding through the two bolts I needed to grind through to get to where I am right now was scary! There was no way to control the incredible amount of sparkage going on. I just got everything out of the way and had wet cloths and a bucket of water handy. It didn’t matter if the floor got dinged since it was coming out anyway.
Once I get the disc changed, I’m looking at another twenty minutes, tops, to finish this project. It’s going by a lot better than I would have expected.
Word of warning when grinding: if you don’t have a face shield expect to get a mouthful of (thankfully cool) shavings. π

Hello Rae, You are an inspiration! I went back and have read most of your blog since March of 08. For some reason I have not been able to get to parts of summer and fall of 2009.
I am at the beginning of the process. Starting to get rid of stuff and dreaming. I have a lot of personal and martial stuff too!
Please stop to see my blog.
Merikay
Hi Merikay! Thank you for introducing yourself! Love the name of your blog!
What parts of the summer and fall of ’09 are you missing? I didn’t write much during the summer since I was just starting to blog. I also didn’t write much in October and November because of the situation at the RV park where I was staying. So, maybe you aren’t actually missing anything.
Have fun working on your dream!
I was having trouble getting to your drive towards Whitehorse. But now I can get it. I do my blog catch-ups by just changing the last number in the URL at the top. Most of the time that works fine. Sometimes I think my computer gets mixed up!
At the moment my dream is still just a dream, not even a plan. Smoke is the most nebulous think I could think of. But smoke does require a small bit of fire and that I do have!
Merika, the easiest way to navigate the blog is to use the links at the bottom of each post that give the name of the next and previous posts.
I like your analogy about the smoke and fire. It tells me that your dream is going to be a plan very soon. π
