First Guests
It’s been a very busy few days here at Casa Rae. Some wonderful blog readers got into a bit of a pickle here in Mérida. Despite being incredibly resourceful and independent, they eventually reached the end of their rope and agreed to let me host them long enough to get sorted out and back home.
So they stayed a few days and I dropped them off at the airport this morning at about 5:30. I hope that they get home on schedule due to incoming bad weather at their destination (as long as they actually made their flights thus far, I’m optimistic that they will make it!).
Even though I was far from feeling that I was ready to host, we made it work. It was wonderful to open my new home to folks in the way so many of you have opened your homes to me over the years. I was so glad to have been in a position to do this and seeing my home through the eyes of others makes me appreciate it even more.
Happy holidays to all my readers!
