I got home from Dawson for good at about 3 as heat stroke was setting in. 🙂 I realised that for all my puttering around on Tuesday, I hadn’t taken any proper pictures of the area, so I did so then.
It was too hot to cook indoors, so I baked a potato (cooked with an onion for maximum flavour) in a fire and roasted veggie hot dogs over it. Yuuuuuuuuummy. 🙂
After dinner, I went in search of the hiking trail that’s supposed to start in the the campground and lead to the Klondike River. Unfortunately, the bridge over the overflow creek halfway done washed out, so I was unable to get to the river. I did get across the creek, but was unable to pick up the trail again, darn it!

you can see the two pull-thrus immediately to the right of the first fork into the campground itself (just above the blue line showing Ross Creek)
I enjoyed the quiet time at the campground, but was glad to go just because of the MOSQUITOES!!!
