Since I determined that I didn&#8217;t need it, I decided to just glue PVC caps to the ends of the pipes I cut and call it a day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2166.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3521\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2166-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP2166\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2166-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2166-619x464.jpg 619w, http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2166.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But it wasn&#8217;t quite that simple. I didn&#8217;t have enough PVC pipe on the right hand side to effect a bond between the pipe and the cap.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2168.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3523\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2168-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP2168\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2168-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2168-619x464.jpg 619w, http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2168.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, I was able to cut through the elbow to get to the next longish bit of PVC pipe. I painstakingly sawed through enough of it to bend back the section and then snipped what was left with a sharp pair of pliers!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2167.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3522\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2167-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP2167\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2167-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2167-619x464.jpg 619w, http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMGP2167.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is a permanent repair that I won&#8217;t have to worry about.
