{"id":22168,"date":"2013-02-24T21:50:12","date_gmt":"2013-02-25T03:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca\/?p=18538"},"modified":"2016-09-19T18:20:57","modified_gmt":"2016-09-19T15:20:57","slug":"a-perfect-route-materializes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/a-perfect-route-materializes\/","title":{"rendered":"A Perfect Route Materializes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reader Debbie emailed me regarding my <a href=\"http:\/\/travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca\/?p=18519\">two possible routes north<\/a> and inadvertently helped me come up with the perfect compromise!<\/p>\n<p>Check out this beauty:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/route-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-18539\" src=\"http:\/\/travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/route-3-244x300.png\" alt=\"route 3\" width=\"244\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s route 1, but instead of continuing diagonally through the Dakotas to Montana I veer straight west in South Dakota <strong>through the Black Hills<\/strong> and hit Wyoming exactly where I need to visit the Devil&#8217;s Tower.<\/p>\n<p>I get to see L in Wichita, P.J. in near Omaha, cross the Black Hills and Devil&#8217;s Tower off my bucket list, and avoid the mess around Denver while not having to spend more than a night at a rest area in Wyoming. This route is <em>perfect<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p>Wow, I&#8217;m almost excited about the fact that I have to go north very soon.
