{"id":21585,"date":"2009-06-04T14:43:47","date_gmt":"2009-06-04T21:43:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca\/?p=1643"},"modified":"2016-09-12T16:26:18","modified_gmt":"2016-09-12T13:26:18","slug":"more-about-the-klondike-river-campground","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/more-about-the-klondike-river-campground\/","title":{"rendered":"More about the Klondike River Campground"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got home from Dawson for good at about 3 as heat stroke was setting in. \ud83d\ude42 I realised that for all my puttering around on Tuesday, I hadn&#8217;t taken any proper pictures of the area, so I did so then.<\/p>\n<p>It was too hot to cook indoors, so I baked a potato (cooked with an onion for maximum flavour) in a fire and roasted veggie hot dogs over it. Yuuuuuuuuummy. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>After dinner, I went in search of the hiking trail that&#8217;s supposed to start in the the campground and lead to the Klondike River. Unfortunately, the bridge over the overflow creek halfway done washed out, so I was unable to get to the river.
