{"id":15360,"date":"2012-08-06T22:45:05","date_gmt":"2012-08-07T02:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travelswithmiranda.uskeba.ca\/?p=15360"},"modified":"2016-09-18T18:51:33","modified_gmt":"2016-09-18T15:51:33","slug":"snowballs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.raecrothers.ca\/blog\/snowballs\/","title":{"rendered":"Snowballs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once upon a simpler time, an RVer decided to increase the capacity of her inverter to allow her to run more office equipment.<\/p>\n<p>This RVer went out and got a great deal on a higher capacity inverter and she was happy.<\/p>\n<p>And then this RVer started to read about the installation of higher capacity inverters and realised she needed much heavier gauge cabling than she thought.<\/p>\n<p>Much heavier gauge cabling in the needed lengths meant making her cables.<\/p>\n<p>Making her own cables meant needing lugs and a crimping tool.<\/p>\n<p>The bigger capacity inverter also meant needing to add a high amperage fuse to her system.<\/p>\n<p>And once the RVer made a shopping list, she realised that there was no way to one-stop shop for everything.<\/p>\n<p>And then her woefully inadequate battery bank space began to eat at her. How could she properly wire her solar panels, inverter, and battery monitors to the bank in a space too small to work in?
